My fave jagung seller has got to be this pak cik. He's a cute pak cik with thick Minang accent and I always practice my broken Minang with him... :))
His humble gerai (stall) used to be in front of the now-famous Langat KFC (yet to be opened though). But now since KFC is there, he has shifted across the road... sian dia.. he said business has suffered somewhat.. coz the new location is a bit obstructed by bushes and such.. tapi insya Allah, rezeki ada di mana2, pak cik...
Pak cik at his stall
(never get the chance to ask his name)
His jagungs are always stacked neatly
Cooking his jagung the traditional way.
With firewood.. . tambah wangi tu...
with plenty of daun pandan (screwpine leaves)
Jagung Langat have made an appearance in a lot of homes
and have made many people happy and sigh with satisfaction...
...compliment from yours truly :))
And last but not least, MY jagung..
gratis from pak cik to his most loyal customer, ie me la.. :D
jagung eaten right there and then in the car
while driving home happily (multi-tasking.. huhu)

If the pakcik knows you are 'promoting' his gerai, I'm sure you'll make his day! Jagung looks fresh and juicy!
yup, his jagung is always fresh... and it's cheaper than the other jagungs along the way.. but of course his jagung is smaller than the others, but most important is his jagung is fresh.... :))
